I don't usually post about my actual votes at the polls, but this is an unusual election.

For US Senate: Republican Thomas Kean, Jr.

This was a no-brainer. A vote for Menendez is a vote for amnesty for illegal aliens, tax increases, increased socialism beyond the hopes and dreams of any of the other parties listed, save the "Socialist Workers Party" (read that "NAZI" party) and Socialist Party USA. Other questionable parties on the ballot included "Judicial Christianization Victim" (yes - it gets THAT NUTTY) and "Poor People's Campaign" (see?). The Libertarians floated a candidate, but it's pointless to vote Libertarian in a close election, especially when there's so much at stake (you run the risk of electing the anti-America Democrat that Bob Menendez truly is). Fringe conservative parties on the ballot included "God We Trust" and "Solidarity, Defend Life". I'm making assumptions as to the conservatism of these parties based on their names. For all I know, they could be just as far to the left as the Nazis and the Socialists.

For House of Representatives: Libertarian write-in.

I'll spare the name of the Libertarian name that I wrote in, but I've come across very few people with whom I agree politically as much as this man. He is a pro-life, pro-war Libertarian. I did consider writing in The Old Sage's name, but Sage and I disagree on these two issues, which are both very important to me.

For Surrogate and all local elections, of course, I chose the Republican.

On all public questions, I voted NO. All of these questions involved extending past tax increases beyond their current limits or realigning current policy in a way that could open the door for future tax increases.

Regardless of your political persuasion, please get out and vote today. But please, only intelligent people who understand the stakes. The rest of you are only good for Clue-Batting.
