BELMAR -- Governor Corzine, New Jersey's two U.S. Senators and a Democratic congressman will hold a news conference today to oppose plans to drill for oil off the state's coast.
Yeah, assholes. Just let that price climb higher and higher, you fucknozzles.
Republicans want to lift a federal ban on offshore oil drilling.
Check it out. The Republicans got something right for a change!
Senators Robert Menendez and Frank Lautenberg will join Corzine and Congressman Frank Pallone Jr.
I'll be remembering those names next time they come up for election.
President Bush and John McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, have called for repealing the drilling ban as a way to lower oil costs [that] brought the nation $4-a-gallon gasoline.

But New Jersey Democrats say drilling would endanger the economy and the environment.
This is pure unadulterated bullshit. Drilling in New Jersey would work wonders for the economy - especially here in New Jersey. Get this: A HUGE percentage of the gasoline sold in the Northeast is refined in the Garden State, only a few miles from the docks where the tankers would be bringing in the oil (which would only have to be transported a short distance to get there). Lower transportation costs equals lower final cost at the pump, in case you didn't know. New Jersey oil, New Jersey refinery, and minimum transportation costs prior to order. That will NOT hurt the economy. In fact, it would send New Jersey's economy through the roof if it weren't in such a shambles thanks to our socialist governor, senators, etc.

And please spare me the bullshit arguments about drilling hurting the environment. I don't hear anyone bitching about the Saudis' oil rigs destroying the environment - or, for that matter, the Russians', the Venezuelans', the Canadians', etc.

It's American oil. Let Americans have it. Let everyone else pay out the nose.
