A Very Merry Christmas

Wednesday, December 24, 2008

To one and all, a very Merry Christmas.

While relaxing and celebrating, don't forget to take time to dwell on the man whose birth we celebrate today. Remember his teachings and his life. Leave the rough stuff for the spring.

Also important to dwell on, but not nearly as important as the above, is the sacrifices made by our soldiers - those serving today, those who fought at Trenton under General Washington, and all in between. Remember the fallen and bless the families of those who cannot be there. Their sacrifice must not forgotten.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours in 09. Unfortunately, the Americans of today possess neither the wit or wisdom of a General Washington. The battle of Trenton, which you are referring to, was one of many amazing moments in the founding of this nation, and not to be forgotten ever in the annals of a freedom seeking people.

As IF you actually lived by the teachings of Jesus...

what a joke.

As IF you would even have a way of knowing, one way or the other.
