A Funny Sarah Palin Quote

Saturday, December 05, 2009

Most people here know that my position on Sarah Palin is hopeful but with serious skepticism and pessimism. She just hasn't proven herself as a conservative at all, and her eagerness to jump onto the McCain bus, only to be thrown under it in an all too predictable fashion, merely made all of this worse.

Still, she does have a great personality and a sense of humor that could eventually bring her around. Regardless of what you think of Sarah (Sage, this means you hahaha), you have to laugh at this one ...

As for the president, Palin joked that she was looking at a magazine cover of Obama and Chinese president Hu Jinato during an airplane flight. A nearby passenger stated, "Hu's the Communist," she related.

And, Palin said, "I thought he was asking a question."
If this woman comes forth with a truly conservative agenda (which is unlikely), she's got a shot at winning the presidency. Sadly, I don't see her cult following as being anywhere near as charismatic or enthusiastic as Obama's. She will have to come forth with the kind of agenda the Tea Partiers will like if she's even to have a chance. One thing she does have going for her: both Democrats and mainstream Republicans hate her guts. While that's clearly not enough, it's got to count for something.

I'll believe it when I see it. At any rate, the quote is hilarious and spot on.

The main stream media will crucify her. She could be the most Constitution respecting candidate in decades and she wouldn't have a chance. Well, not much of a chance.

Tell me you are kidding Ol'BC.

Nah, it would be more of what came out when she ran with McAmnesty. She should never have sold out to the campaign. She got ripped for lack of experience when she had much more than anyone else on either ticket. She received security briefings, headed a state, had to deal with legislatures, etc. None of the other three came close to her level of executive experience. We still hear people say she was too inexperienced. Look what we have now. I'm with Rocker when he says it may be for the best, but it sucks in the mean time.

I think Sage's point, Ol' BC, is that it's not very likely that she'll come forward as a "Constitution-respecting candidate". She didn't in 2008. It's highly unlikely that she will turn around and be part of any Constitutionalist movement in 2012. Her decision to simply jump onto the McCain bandwagon is evidence that she will, like other Republicans and Democrats, simply take whatever position suits the political climate of the day.

Do you really want another Bill Clinton?

I will support Sarah Palin under certain circumstances, but those include a clear explanation of her signing on to the McCain agenda, which would have been nearly as bad as what we got. Did she think she was going to move the most left-wing Republican in Washington to the right (foolish but acceptable with reservations)? Did she see her participation as an opportunity to get a foot in the door for the conservative movement (reasonable - probably acceptable)? Or was she just honored to be chosen to run (completely unacceptable)?

(Continued ...)
Other important questions involve her positions on the Constitution as the supreme law of the land, and will she take that law seriously in her decisions. What will she do about the war on The Bill of Rights? What will she do about illegal aliens? Will she uphold the Constitution, or will she succumb to the liberal agenda?

The last is very important, as it is the essence of the real problem that exists with Sarah Palin in the first place. She was all too willing to succumb to the liberal agenda with McCain in charge. Who else's version of the liberal agenda will she also accept?

These are very serious and important questions, and without acceptable answers (which we do not have as yet), Sarah Palin is unfit for office.
