Stu: Who are the Birthers
Monday, May 10, 2010
Glenn Beck's buddy Stu has posted a little ditty about birthers on his blog...
Vast majority of birthers are not Republicans (*updated)Well let's see here, I'm a birther, Sage is a birther, and a good number of those who frequent the RWRepublic are also birthers.
How would you describe this person?
1) They approve of how Obama is handling his job as president
2) They hold favorable views of him personally
3) And they prefer him over congressional Republicans when it comes to dealing with the economy.
Let's see exactly how we stack up around here.
1) The RWRepublic does NOT approve of how Obama is handling his job as president,
2) The RWRepublic does NOT hold favorable views of him personally,
3) And we do NOT prefer him over congressional Republicans when it comes to dealing with the economy (though we don't trust them very much either).
I don't know who these guys interviewed, but it sure as fuck wasn't us.
*Obama was born in Hawaii. In Hawaii. Innnn Hawwwwwaiiiii. He probably was. Still, no one has shown any legally acceptable proof one way or the other. Even if he was, there's still that stingy little matter of his father's citizenship. Stu didn't even mention that (big surprise).
Again, Mr. Beck and Stu, Hawk, and others who persist in calling birthers "kooks" and all manner of other derogatory things, I ask for your rebuttal to my position that Barack Hussein Obama is NOT legally a natural born citizen of the United States of America, and as such is illegally holding the office of President of the United States.
Until you credibly answer, you are ineligible for name-calling.

I would posit that Beck's strange attitude in this matter may have more to do with his being beholden to his boss over at Fox News than anything else. Perhaps he's allowed free speech in other areas as long as he lays off of this. Who knows? I like Glenn, too, but (1) do not take marching orders from him and (2) treat him like I do everyone else - kudos when he's right, and the ClueBat when he's wrong.
He's definitely wrong on this, as far as I can tell.
Also thanks for that link. It was right on the mark!

I'll add a few other personal opinions to the mix.
I used to want him impeached, beginning almost immediately after he was elected. The more decisions he made, the more exposure he received, I just want him and his supporters in jail facing treason charges.
Am I a republican? No, I am too conservative to be a republican. However I do typically vote for them out of lack of options.
I used to not be a birther... but reviewing the quotes from Dr. Chiyome Fukino over the countless times this issue has come up made me into a birther.
Funny enough to me that a political appointee so far down the ladder could be used for such an important authority on the matter, saying "I have proof he is a citizen, but you will have to take my word for it" is absolutely ridiculous to me. But when the excuse given is because obama wants it sealed for privacy reasons?
Privacy reasons? There is something on the birth certificate he does not want someone to know?
There is something on it that the American People do not have a right to know? Really what would that be?
I can't tell if anti-birthers that claim right leaning affiliations are full of it or not.
John Hawkins, Ace, Rusty Shackleford, and others have been claiming that this issue needs to be dropped... then you turn around and they are dragging it up again... and again. For hit counts?
For attention on the issue while they can seem to be against it while maybe they are closet birthers?
Yet they go to extremes villifying their own readers who say there is something wrong about a president who will not submit his credentials for review by the public. Regardless of the reason.
