All the Proof You Need

Tuesday, August 28, 2012

Here is all the proof you need that neither Mitt Romney nor his party gives a flying fuck about conservatives.

A few notable quotes:

Somebody needs to wake up, and it’s not Texas. - Butch Davis, a Texas representative to the national rules committee

Do you want to win this election and future elections? Now is your opportunity to prove it. - Julianne Thompson, National Delegate for Mitt Romney (GA)

We have to remember that this election is not just about replacing the party in power. It’s about who and what we replace it with. - Sarah Palin

If this is so necessary for some specific purpose, why not limit it to that purpose? Kind of makes you wonder… - Drew McKissick

The establishment GOP wants to kick conservatives out of the party. - Rush Limbaugh
I had to laugh a little on that last.  For a guy who's always "on the cutting edge of societal evolution", it's pretty funny how far behind he is on this one.  The establishment GOP kicked conservatives out of the party a long time ago.  Candidates McCain and Romney are the best evidence of that so far.  Dittos, Rush, but you are really far behind on this one.

On the Palin quote, nothing could be more true.  Right on the money ... and the very reason her ticket was body-slammed in the last election.  We needed conservatives in the White House to clean up Bush's damage. Instead, we had two liberal nutbags to choose from.  America chose the Democrat nutbag.

No worries, though.  Without Obama in the White House, there would have been no one to stand up to Romneyfart in this battle.

Now for the good news (reported by John Port to MichelleMalkin.com):
Speaker of the House John Boehner takes the podium and asks for a voice vote on the rules. The “nays” from the floor were at least as loud as the “yeas,” but Boehner approved the rules “without objection.”

What a joke.
Well my good fellow, what did you expect?

Why, you may ask, am I reporting this as "good" news? That answer is as simple as simple can be: The Republican Party has now exposed themselves to any holdout conservatives (call them LOTEs or nose-holders or whatever) as the Left-wing fraud that it is.  Any of them that continue to hold out hope for any conservatism in the Republican Party are now officially carrying water for the GOP establishment.  "Tea Partiers" who thought the GOP might give them a voice have now been silenced.

The rest will join us Federalists in a real and true conservative movement.

That can only be a good thing.
