Since leaving the band, I've gone back to the old tech job while promoting the new project. An interesting thing happened while I was on a tech gig this week ...

I was manning the merchandise table when a promoter approached me asking me if I could cover for an absent musician in a band that was playing nearby. Of course, it was a great opportunity to promote the new project, so I accepted the offer - without cancelling any obligations I had on my tech job. So I'm touring with TWO bands this weekend AND still playing all the obligatory Easter gigs.

The substitute situation ends Sunday night, and then I can just do the tech thing for the rest of the week. Schools are closed for most of the week, so I'm sure I'll catch up on some rest then.

Still makes for a very non-restful vacation, if you ask me.

In the meantime, do read some of the older posts, especially thost dealing with the New Federalism (left side), as those concepts are going to be important in making our decisions this November. Also, if you want to contribute a question for a possible "Ask Rocker" segment, drop that into the ol' comment area, and I'll see what I can do.
