A Home Run by Scorched_Earth

John Hawkins nailed the NAACP today, but the most persuasive argument in support of his point came in the comments section:

As an African-American this has already disturbed me the most. I will never understand why race pimps like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton (and that's exactly what they are) continue to play the race card selling the story of a racist America when this is the only time in history where blacks in this country are finally taking steps to bring themselves into self sufficiency. I grew up as dirt poor as they come, but my father always made it very clear that it would be up to me to lift myself up from the clutches of poverty. And while he's getting very old now, has never owned property and never really made much for himself I remember his words. Today I'm a self-sufficent black man in America. I own my own home, have 3 children, 2 cats and a dog. Granted, I'm not rich, but I'm not poor either. None of it was handed to me, I worked hard and earned it.

I believe that the Black leaders today (in order to stay popular) must continue to sell the great lie that America is a racist and socially flawed nation they have to always focus on that premise or foerever be discarded as no longer needed by the African-Americans in this country.

I believe that most blacks are beginning to turn around on this issue as they begin to see that after Martin Luther King...(the last "great" black leader)their lives have not improved after hearing politician after politician promising them peace and economic prosperity. Today more black people are rising up and figuring out that the have been swindled, hoodwinked and bamboozled into the great myth of the system trying to keep the black man down. I suspect that by the time my children are old enough to vote, these "Race Pimp" types will be the extreme minority in the ashbin of African-American history.

Actually, the system does try to keep the black man down. It does this by offering the addictive drug of socialism to him every day, and lures him into the false sense of security it provides. Once there, any person, black or otherwise, is trapped and must work even harder to escape its clutches. What Scorched_Earth is saying is that anyone and everyone in America can say NO to this highly addictive destructive mechanism of dependence and stand on his own BEFORE it consumes him - BEFORE its deceptive sweet flavor engulfs his spirit and drags it slowly into oblivion.

It's about time we called a race pimp a race pimp and a bigot a bigot. It is really annoying that racists who happen to be black get away with this just because they are well, black.

It's bad ehough these idiots want special privileges that no one else has. Can we at least call them what they are? Scorched_Earth puts all the cards on the table and conitunues throughout the thread. He writes very well, and shows just how well-educated a person of any race can become. His words demonstrate the true independence for which every man yearns. He is truly free. More importantly, he sees the racists in the NAACP and their ilk for what they are, "swindlers" who have "hoodwinked and bamboozled" black people into "the great myth of the system trying to keep the black man down".
