NY Times to Publish More Classified Information
Monday, February 27, 2006
Two (nationality deleted) intelligence agents in (city deleted) obtained a copy of (government deleted)'s plan to defend the (nationality deleted) capital, which a (nationality deleted) official passed on to American commanders a month before the invasion, according to a classified study by the U.S. military, the NY Times will page one in Monday editions.I will not be actually linking where I got this information, becuase this study is classified.
My question is this: If the study is classified, why is the New York Times going to publish it? For that matter, why did the website publishing the above quote publish it?
Isn't it a crime to divulge "classified" material? I guarantee it's at least wrong, especially if there's a chance it could undermine the war effort.
