How undeniably cute. They're having a "pray-in".
WASHINGTON, Nov. 22 /U.S. Newswire/ --Can you believe this shit? These guys go about engaging in suspicious behavior and expect to get brownie points from eveyone else when they get their sorry asses tossed from the plane.
The "pray-in" is in response to US Airways' removal of Imam Omar Shahin and five other Imams traveling from a religious leader's conference in Minnesota. Three of the Imams were observed praying prior to departure. Subsequent to boarding the plane, the six were removed from the flight, handcuffed, and detained in the airport for questioning for over five hours. Upon release, US Airways and other airlines refused to allow them to purchase tickets for other scheduled flights to Phoenix.
"The detention of these religious leaders, and the refusal of the airline to allow them travel, is a gross example of blatant Islamophobia and the violation of the civil rights of Muslim passengers", said Imam Mahdi Bray, executive director of the Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation.
"The last time I checked, public prayer was still protected by the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees freedom of religion and speech. It's a shame that as an African-American and a Muslim I have the double whammy of having to worry about driving while Black and flying while Muslim. We charge the airline with not only discrimination, but with an action that is insulting and demeaning to these Muslim religious leaders, and to all people of faith."
The MAS Freedom Foundation, and many in the interfaith and civil rights community, feel strongly that in addition to religious discrimination, the issue involving the six Imams is also a religious freedom issue. We have forwarded the case to several prominent civil and constitutional rights attorneys and legal scholars.
Oh yeah, Shahin forgot to tell you (and so did the above article) exactly WHY he and his terror cohorts were cuffed and questioned. Let me enlighten you, ok?
Muslim religious leaders removed from a Minneapolis flight last week exhibited behavior associated with a security probe by terrorists and were not merely engaged in prayers, according to witnesses, police reports and aviation security officials. That's right. In addition to praying pretty loudly, these fuckwarts were shouting "ALLAH" when their flight was called, switches from their assigned seats to seats that coincided with a pattern known to be used by terrorists during attacks, requested unneeded seat-belt extenders, and talking in Arabic and English about al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.
Look. Praying in public is no more harmful than carrying a gun in public. But you don't walk into a bank in the middle of summer wearing a ski mask and carrying a brown paper bag and not expect to arouse serious suspicion and most likely walk out of the place in handcuffs, even if you don't try to rob the place.
Likewise, if you're in an airport or on a plane and you're acting like a terrorist, you should expect to be treated like one. Committing acts of terorism is NOT protected under the First Amendment. So you imams can just go fuck yourselves, ya hear? Kiss my ass - and Pope Benedict's while you're at it.
These people have a lot of fucking balls.
