A positive by-product of extreme stress is an interesting increase in expressive creativity. It's been a long time since I've experienced the kind of stress I have lately, and consequently, a long time since I've had such a visit from the muse (that creative spirit from which musicians derive inspiration).

I've been quite quiet over the past few days largely because of the stress and depression I've been experiencing, but also because the muse has called. I've been under her power and have been working on the resulting song. I'm sure this will take up most of my time over the weekend, so you may just have to hope to see me on the blogs where I comment, as I will likely not have time to post here for a few days more.

So it's true that behind every cloud is a silver lining. Now I just have to figure out how to detach it.
